Estermann assumed responsibility for communications at Ringier in July 2010. For the next two years, he and his team managed communications for the Ringier companies in Switzerland and Germany. Since 2012, he has had a Group-wide mandate covering all 16 countries in which Ringier now operates.
As Chief Communications Officer, Estermann successfully positioned Ringier as an innovative, digital, international media enterprise. He modernised the Group’s communications activities, oversaw the communication of Ringier’s role in the launch of the Admeira marketing organisation, designed the communications structure of Ringier Axel Springer Switzerland AG and revitalised Ringier’s corporate identity.
Before taking on his communications duties, Edi Estermann headed up the project-management team for the Blick Group’s integrated newsroom. He originally joined Ringier as a journalist in 1998. He then worked as reporter in chief at Schweizer Illustrierte, after which he served as that magazine’s head of news from 2004 to 2008.

Danja Spring will assume interim management responsibility for Corporate Communications at the Ringier Group with effect from January 1, 2017. Since August 2011, Ms Spring has held a number of positions in Corporate Communications at the Ringier Group. She has been Deputy Chief Communications Officer since June 2014.
